John Enar Karlsson founded SLITZ Magazine, a FREE pinoy lifestyle and entertainment magazine, with the ambition to become the definitive taste-making bible for the trendy set. SLITZ also hopes to make a name for itself fast by hosting lavish parties and offer a fine collection of luxury rentals including vacation homes, exotic cars, big boats, limousine etc.

What are the five things you always have with you?
+ My NOKIA, SWATCH watch, wedding ring, eyeglasses and my door keys.

You go under the name 'John Karlsson'. What's the story behind that?
+ My name is actually 'John Enar Karlsson', back in Sweden my given name is my middle name. So there everyone call me "Enar". When I moved to the Philippines it was much easier to use my first name (John). Anyway both names belong to me. So you can use either one. But my close friends call me "Enar".

What is your magazine about?
+ Bold lifestyle - Live.Life.Large

How do you produce one issue? How much time do you spend on it? How big is your team?
+ Very carefully. SLITZ is published quarterly. I spend from 1-2 months working on an issue and am constantly thinking about the issues. The team ranges from 3-10 people.

How many magazines do you buy / get / read each month? Do you qualify yourself a maniac?
+ I buy about 2 magazines per month. I look at hundreds. I’m a disgruntled fan.

As one of the founders, what is your schedule like?
+ Controlled chaos.

How do you keep yourself inspired?
+ Traveling, internet, curiosity, reading magazines, but mostly trying to pull out what is inside my head.

+ The next one.

What else do you do?
+ My passion is within graphics design and visual effects. As the co-founder of Strong Media Corp. I get lots of opportunity to put my creative juices at work within this fields. Here I do everything from graphic design to 3d-animation and visual effects.
